Location
Sklithro
At an altitude of 435 meters, Sklithro was built amphitheatrically on the eastern slopes of the verdant Mavrovouni, a beautiful place between Kissavos and Pelion.
According to local tradition, it was named after a centuries-old alder tree in the area. It is 57 km from Larissa and 30 km from Agia and has a permanent population of no more than 110 people. The inhabitants are mainly engaged in agriculture, livestock farming, and forestry.
The combination of mountain and sea makes Sklithro an ideal destination for nature lovers. Visitors can refresh themselves at the crystal springs of Trani Vrysi, Kardara, Sykia and Bourboulithra. The village has a remarkable church and a chapel. The Koutra and Kuttle peaks offer unique views and serenity.
